ELECTRICITY POLICY

Electricity Bill

Billed separately by sub-meter reading — ₹10/unit. First 20 units free.

  • The room’s electricity bill is divided equally among all its occupants.

  • Each tenant is charged from their date of joining (pro-rata), not the full month.

  • A new tenant joining mid-month shares units only for the days stayed.

  • Common-area lighting and water-pump electricity is split across all tenants.

  • Free units reset every month; unused free units do not carry forward.

  • Sub-meter reading is recorded on the 1st of every month.
